Text Box: With the AGM only a matter of days away, we can again report on a very active year. The purchasing team of Neville and Tom have produced a continued flow of excellent prices and offers, as well as increasing the range of products and suppliers to meet the needs of you our members. The other directors have all worked tirelessly towards the cause of making this the most member friendly organization within our sector.

Text Box: The networking of the members is always an area in which the Board would like to see more success, however such are the demands on our members time... we are constantly looking for areas where we can help. This year we have been working within the school sector sponsoring events and participating in cooking demonstrations. One school has benefited from a purchase of kitchen utensils.

Text Box: The website remains as a wonderful tool to inform the members alerting them to offers, issues and concerns. A final word of thanks to all who have helped in all areas of the CCA, without who we simply could not function as well as we do. Huddersfield Technical College, Hospitality Department is again being sponsored by the CCA after last years, ‘Make a Sandwich’ competition, success.

This year the theme is create, cook and present a ’Pudding’, the competition finalists will be judged by members of staff, including our own Di

winning recipe to be put on the website for all to try.

Our ‘Grassroots’ policy of introducing the CCA to the students will be enhanced by this sort of project, let us hear your ideas on how we can help your school or college.
