CCA ChairIan Dibdin has been a member of the CCA since the late 1980's and served on the Board since 1994, holding various positions including: Training and Development, Regional Co-ordinator as well as editor for the Grapevine magazine.

Ian became Chairman in 2000 and has overseen many of the changes in recent times.Ian is a secondary school Home Economics teacher based in centralScotland, he is also a fully qualified SFA football coach and works with Falkirk FC on the community programme. Qualifying as a chef after leaving school he has an impressive resume
of hotels and restaurants, he moved overseas during the 1980's since his return he has worked in education, within Universities, colleges and schools, recently taking up his present teaching post.

Ian says of the Consortium,
'The CCA has a strong ethos of good communication and I wish support all member activities that encourage networking. I want members to see the CCA as an organisation which takes the members individual needs as paramount'.

I have thirty-five years experience in the catering industry working in various Hotels and Restaurants during my younger days in North Wales.
Following my professional training by the Royal Air Force and a leading Catering College, I served in the RAF for twenty-two years as a Mess Manager. Also flying on various Squadrons being No's 10 Sqn, 32 Sqn and The Queen's Flight, the latter flying with the Royal Family for seven years in the UK and worldwide. I am a Fellow of the Institue of Hospitality (FIH).

Since leaving the RAF I have been employed within the education sector over the last twelve years. I was successful as the Head of Residential and Catering Services at Bretton Hall College of the University of Leeds for nine years and also as Head of Catering Services at Calderdale College in Halifax for seven years.
